WATCH: Bears block punt to score touchdown vs. Titans
It took longer than expected, but the Chicago Bears have their first touchdown of the 2024 season, and it came from an unlikely player and situation.
Trailing the Tennessee Titans 17-3 coming out of halftime, the Bears were able to force their opponent into a punting situation on fourth down. That's when defensive end Daniel Hardy broke through to block the punt, and safety Jonathan Owens scooped up the loose ball to take it to the house. It was their first punt return for a touchdown since 2012, according to the team.

Owens' score reinvigorated Soldier Field and his wife, Simone Biles, was understandably excited. The decorated Olympian shared her reaction on social media.

It's been a rough opening game for Chicago, but hopefully the special teams play ignites the rest of the team. The Bears currently trail 17-10 after three quarters.
