Thinking of attending the 2025 Walker Cup at Cypress Point?

The biennial match between the top amateurs from the United States and those from Great Britain and Ireland takes place Sept. 6-7 at famed Cypress Point in California, which ranks No. 1 in Golfweek’s Best Classic Courses. Last week, the USGA released important details on tickets, including pricing and how to get your hands on some.

"Due to several factors, most notably, a historic playing at one of our country’s greatest venues, as well as tremendous excitement around amateur golf, there is a lot of interest in attending this year’s Walker Cup," the USGA said in a release. "Taking into consideration the unique terrain and architecture at Cypress Point, as well as the limited amount of competitive play on course at any one time, attendance will be capped to an appropriate and manageable number each day."

That number has yet to be announced, but all single-day public tickets will be sold in advance through a random selection process, after receipt of an online application which will be made available in the spring.

Tickets for the practice round will be $100, while prices for Saturday or Sunday rounds of competition will be $200. Each adult applicant will have the option to apply for one complimentary junior (17 years old and under) ticket per day, which will also be determined via random selection.

The Walker Cup is a two-day event with 18 singles matches and eight foursomes matches. The U.S. leads the overall series, 39-9-1, though its advantage is only 11-7 since 1989.
