Yahoo Sports Walsall sign Charlton midfielder Asiimwe on loan
Walsall have signed Charlton Athletic youngster Nathan Asiimwe on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old midfielder is the League Two leaders' first January transfer window signing.
Asiimwe was given his Addicks debut in May 2022 and has now made 27 first-team appearances for the south-east Londoners.
He is currently on a Charlton deal that runs until 2026, with the option for another year.
He played five games out on loan with National League side Hartlepool in September and October, but since his return to The Valley, his only first two first-team appearances have been in the EFL Trophy.
Walsall go into their Saturday lunchtime clash with Tranmere Rovers 10 points clear of nearest pursuers Crewe Alexandra.
