Walsall kitman and announcer face misconduct charge

Walsall kitman Dave Joyce and pitchside announcer Simon Hill have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following their game against Crewe Alexandra on 9 November.

The pair allegedly acted in an "improper manner" in stoppage time at the end of the League Two fixture, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Joyce was sent off by referee Stephen Parkinson after a scuffle broke out when the ball went out of play near the dugouts at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Crewe boss Lee Bell and Walsall defender Liam Gordon were shown yellow cards following the incident.

Joyce and Hill have until 18 November to respond to the charge.
