Nominations are submitted by area coaches or taken from stats reported to the Idaho Statesman.

FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Zeke Martinez, Meridian: Finished with six total touchdowns to lead the Warriors to a 46-34 win over Mountain View. He was 25-for-34 for 321 yards and three TDs through the air, and he ran for 41 yards and three more touchdowns.

Logan Haustveit, Owyhee: Made 12 tackles, grabbed two interceptions, and forced and recovered a fumble in a 21-14 victory against Capital.

Jeff Thompson, Rocky Mountain: Hauled in six catches for 187 yards, including a 52-yard touchdown, in a 42-8 rout of Chiawana, Washington.

Dylan Luekenga, Borah: Completed 18-of-29 passes for 264 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-14 win against Vallivue.

Kian Foy, Mountain View: Caught five passes for 50 yards and four touchdowns in a 46-34 loss to Meridian.

Will Sachse, Bishop Kelly: Blocked a punt, returned an interception for a touchdown and made 15 tackles in a 20-8 win over Minico.

Darien Pecunia, Payette: Finished with four total touchdowns and 244 of the Pirates’ 343 offensive yards in a 55-0 win at Orofino. He ran for 142 yards and three TDs, and he went 10-for-15 for 102 yards and another score.

Titus Vidlak, Fruitland: Went 15-for-18 for 200 yards and three TDs in a 54-6 win over New Plymouth at Albertsons Stadium.

Ronaldo Gomez, Rimrock: Ran for 199 yards and four touchdowns, threw for a fifth touchdown and scored a sixth on a 55-yard interception return in a 49-14 win vs. Rimrock. He also made 14 tackles.

Maxon Yearsley, Garden Valley: Caught six passes for 120 yards and three touchdowns, ran the ball twice for 62 yards and another score, and made 13 tackles in a 46-16 win over Castleford.
