We are unbeaten in our first month of competitive football in 2024! We followed up a thrilling 3-2 cup win in Linz with a pair of ADMIRAL Bundesliga draws against SK Sturm Graz and Blau-Weiß Linz, before a 7-0 home spectacular against Austria Lustenau saw us end February on a perfect note.

Our first Player of the Month vote of the new year sees four of our Red Bulls selected again for their particularly impressive performances in recent weeks. You can decide the winner of the honour in online voting below.

Let's start by introducing the four candidates for Player of the Month in February:

Maurits Kjaergaard

Mau has been the ace up our sleeve for set pieces! In the cup clash at LASK, he assisted two goals from dead balls, and he also set up a goal against Sturm Graz from a corner. Maurits has been in dazzling form in open play too, despite taking an unusual role on the left wing. The 20-year-old Dane was able to get a goal for himself in the scoring fest against Austria Lustenau.

Mamady Diambou

The youngster from Mali was the big winner of our winter preparation period! Having suffered an injury in the autumn, Mamady has battled his way to a regular starting spot - lining up for our first three competitive matches of the year. His tough tackling and accurate forward passing saw him shine in those. With less defensive cover needed against Lustenau, the 21-year-old was given a break at the end of the month.

Petar Ratkov

It would simply have been unthinkable to not nominate Petar after his record-breaking goal against FC Blau-Weiß Linz. The 20-year-old striker's alertness took him to a goal after just five seconds of play - the fastest in the history of the Austrian Bundesliga! The Serb showed his nose for goals the week before that in the big match against SK Sturm Graz, heading into the net. Peter provided an assist at the end of the month too against Austria Lustenau.

Fernando

Fernando's fabulous February was just what we longed for - and we got treated once again to his famous flips after scoring! The brilliant Brazilian was finally at full fitness again after many injury problems, and showed his class right away with a brace that took us into the cup semi-final. The 24-year-old added two more goals against Lustenau to help us to our first Austrian Bundesliga win of 2024. Fun fact - Fernando has now scored five of his eight Bundesliga goals against Austria Lustenau, and both of his league braces have come against them.
