Vladimir Provorov Commits To Ohio State
New Jersey Rockets forward Vladimir Provorov has committed to Ohio State, it was announced earlier this week.
A product of Yaroslavl, Russia and the younger brother of Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Ivan Provorov, Vladimir is currently playing for the New Jersey Rockets 16U. Through 12 games played this season, Provorov has collected eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points.
Having come to the U.S. during the 2023-24 season, Provorov split time last year between the Rockets and the Russian U16 tier.
Not scheduled to join the Buckeyes until 2027, Provorov will have the chance to continue developing at the AAA level before making the jump to juniors. While it remains to see where he could potentially play, Provorov has clearly proven he will be one to watch.
