Vitor Roque & Balde included: Hansi Flick names first Barcelona XI for friendly clash
The first-ever XI chosen by new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Thursday evening been revealed.
This comes, for those not aware, as the Blaugrana kick their pre-season schedule into gear.
Ahead of jetting off to the USA for a pre-season tour this weekend, during which they will face off with some of the continent’s leading clubs, Barca, on Thursday, have taken to the pitch in a semi-competitive setting for the first time.
The Catalan giants are currently locked in action with UE Olot, in a behind-closed-doors friendly clash.
The bulk of the club’s most high-profile names remain unavailable for selection, owing to either injury, or delayed returns from international duty.
Of those at his disposal, though, Hansi Flick was therefore this evening tasked with naming a starting line-up for the very first time.
And, a short time ago, the XI in question was unveiled online.
As revealed by Barcelona insider Gerard Romero, the likes of Vitor Roque, Alejandro Balde, Iñigo Martínez and Oriol Romeu have been joined by a host of youngsters in a new-look setup.
