Vinicius Junior has given an honest assessment of his performances for Brazil, claiming that the style of football is 'different' to how he plays for Real Madrid.

Brazil fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Paraguay in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday, with the likes of Vinicius, Endrick and Rodrygo unable to etch their names onto the scoresheet. Their disappointing loss came after a 1-0 win over Ecuador on Saturday - where Brazil were able to pick up a much-needed three points.

Paraguay's victory over Brazil marked the first time they had beaten the Selecao in 16 years. However, the Madrid star did not shy away from analysing his performance after the game, explaining why his form is worse for his national side.

"We want to reverse this situation in Brazil at all costs," he told reporters. "Let everyone go home now and think to immediately reflect on what we have to improve, what we have to do to play well again.

"We can't come here, lose those points and play the way we played. In Europe, the ball runs faster on the pitch, we have to adapt to play in the best way to win games. By winning, we will have more peace of mind to play differently."

Brazil, despite their results on the pitch, house an immense level of talent. Teenage wonderkid Endrick and Madrid forward Rodrygo join Ballon d'Or nominee Vinicius in attack, while Arsenal star Gabriel commands the backline ahead of Alisson between the sticks.

They're set to face Chile and Peru in October fixtures where they will hope to improve on their recent run.

Madrid will return to action on Saturday when they travel to face Real Sociedad.
