Vinicius, Ceballos to start: Real Madrid predicted lineup against Mallorca

Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid head to the shores of Saudi Arabia as defending champions to take on Mallorca in the Spanish Super Cup semi final.

David Alaba returns to the squad but it would still be too early for the Austrian to make a start. Even his inclusion later on in the match will only be if there is a grave need.

Here is how Real Madrid can lineup against Mallorca.

GK: Thibaut Courtois

Has not kept a clean sheet in the last two matches but looked good against Valencia nonetheless. He is known to be a big match player and tonight might be the night.

Will start another match as captain. Does have a task on his hands against an unpredictable Mallorca attack.

CB: Aurelien Tchouaméni

Performed well against Valencia and has shown his skills as a centre back, a position where the Frenchman has done better than where he plays originally.

CB: Antonio Rüdiger

Not the best start of the year for the German. Will hope to be rock solid in defence and will be a danger man on set pieces as well.

LB: Eduardo Camavinga

Scored a goal in the last match and is high on confidence since the past few matches. Proven to be a vital player whenever he starts for Real Madrid and has shown his class even as a left-back.

CM: Fede Valverde

Another start for the workhorse. A sure shot starter and expect him to have a crack at goal too. Will have put in a shift at right-back also whenever Lucas Vazquez makes the overlapping run.

CM: Dani Ceballos

Surely has caused a selection dilemma for Carlo Ancelotti and is expected to keep his place in the side. Keeps things simple and his mere presence allows Valverde and Jude to play with more freedom.

CM: Jude Bellingham

Will float as the number 8 and number 10 throughout the match. It is matches like these where he is known to score crucial goals and it will not be a surprise if he is involved yet again. Going through a fabulous run of form and he would be hoping to continue it.

Quiet against Valencia after a good run of form in December. Would be eager to be involved more on the attacking front and switch sides with Vinicius as the game goes on.

Finally found his footing in December but his intensity has lowered and looked a bit off colour against Valencia. Would hope to time his runs better and be amongst the goals once again.

The stage is perfectly set for the big match player with yet another knockout match and trophy on the line. Will be a miss for the next two league fixtures but has a chance to show his class again in the Spanish Super Cup.
