How Vinícius Jr. paid tribute to Kylian Mbappé after first Real Madrid goal
Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. wasted little time in making clear that he and new teammate Kylian Mbappé are very much on the same page, during their first outing together on Wednesday.
Real Madrid, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.
In the latest edition of the UEFA Super Cup, Los Blancos locked horns with Serie A outfit Atalanta, with the first piece of silverware of the continental campaign on the line.
And, when all was said and done, it was Carlo Ancelotti’s Spanish champions who emerged on the right side of a 2-0 result.
The aforementioned Vinícius and Mbappé, meanwhile, both featured from the off, and went on to play leading roles.
The former laid on Federico Valverde’s opener courtesy of a moment of trademark brilliance, before debutant Mbappé rounded out the scoring, courtesy of a pinpoint finish.
And, in the aftermath of the latter’s strike, his attacking partner in crime wasted little time in making clear that he and Mbappé are very much on the same page heading into the new season.
As much came upon Vinícius making a beeline for the Frenchman, before breaking out his best impression of Mbappé’s trademark crossed arms celebration:
