Villarreal share news of double injury blow ahead of Osasuna clash
Villarreal have shared some fresh injury news on Thursday afternoon concerning two of their players. Winger Nicolas Pepe and striker Ayoze Pérez are the two men affected.
As per the club website, Pepe has suffered a quad tear in his left leg while Ayoze Pérez has also suffered a quad injury, although his is thought to be less severe than that of his teammate.
The club has been deliberately vague about recovery times for both men. No date of return has been given, but Pérez is rumoured to be looking at 3-4 weeks on the sidelines, while Pepe could be looking at 5-6 weeks.
This means both players will likely be missing the majority of the most busy part of the season, as the Spanish footballing calendar ramps up heading into December.
This is a tough period for Villarreal, with difficult clashes against the likes of Osasuna, Girona, Athletic Club and Real Betis.
Hopefully, both players will have a speedy recovery and be back in action for the Yellow Submarine sooner rather than later.
