The move started with Vitinha playing a ball over the top to Barcola on the left wing. The Frenchman got behind the Stuttgart defense and was able to play an easy low cross to Dembélé for the goal.
During the celebration, the goal was ruled offside due to Barcola’s initial run. After a few minutes, VAR confirmed that the initial call was incorrect and Barcola was onside. The goal was given and now, PSG’s qualification to the next round seems all but confirmed.
Dembélé has two goals and an assist so far in the Champions League this season. With qualification, PSG’s quest for its first Champions League title will continue.
