(Video): Moises Caicedo drops incredible performance but Ecuador head home

Ecuador are heading home from Copa America after losing on penalties against Argentina in the quarter finals last night.

The game ended 1-1 in normal time and there was very little between the two sides. But it was Argentina who stepped up when it essentially mattered to convert their penalties and head to the semi finals.

Of course, there was plenty of Chelsea involvement in this game, with Moises Caicedo and Kendry Paez playing for Ecuador, and Enzo Fernandez playing for Argentina.

Caicedo was superb

It’s such a shame that Caicedo ended up on the losing side, because he didn’t deserve to be, he was incredible for Ecuador last night, and you can see bits of that in the highlights above.

But he will now be heading home, or probably on a short holiday actually, before returning to Chelsea for pre-season, and the plus side of that is of course it means he comes back unscathed and without injuries.
