It could have been two on the night for the Nerazzurri skipper, had he not missed from point-blank range during the first half.

Lautaro had not scored in any competition at club level since November 3, when he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Venezia.

The Argentina international is now up to six goals and three assists from his 15 outings in Serie A this season. He had recorded an impressive tally of 15 goals and four assists at the same stage of the 2023-24 season.
