(Video) Chelsea ace fires ominous warning after leaving the club
Raheem Sterling has warned that everyone is about to see the best of him following his deadline day loan switch to Arsenal.
Chelsea had made it clear to the England international that he was no longer part of the plans under Enzo Maresca, but they faced a race against the clock to find a solution before the 11pm deadline on Friday.
However, they were able to agree a deal with rivals Arsenal and Sterling will spend the season on loan in North London, but the Blues won’t receive a loan fee and will pay 50% of his wages.
It’s not ideal but it does mean Chelsea have a portion of Sterling’s vast wages off their books and they will revisit the situation next summer, where they will hope to find a permanent solution.
