Not many major junior players are able to break the 250 game mark. However, Victoriaville Tigres blueliner Francesco Iasenza is one of ten active players with that distinction, having played 252 so far, with the Tigres and formerly with the Moncton Wildcats.

Iasenza also joins the first crop of NCAA commits out of the QMJHL as the five-year veteran will join Mercyhurst University next season.

The 6-foot-1 point-man has 19 points (5+14) across 37 games this season, good enough first among defenseman on the Tigres and fourth in among all players on the squad. His season is also on pace to break his career high of 25 points that he set last season.

Iasenza, 20, is the first QMJHL player linked to the program, which has a 2-19-1-1 record on the year so far. He'll also be the Lakers' only player with ties to the NHL as Iasenza attended the Colorado Avalanche's development camp in 2022.
