Victor Wembanyama was shocked to see that the jersey from his swap with young fan was already up for auction
Victor Wembanyama regularly tries to make special memories for young fans after games. Just the other day, the Spurs star and Chris Paul went out of their way to give their jerseys to J.J. Redick's kids after they lost their belongings in the devastating wildfires.
In December, there was another awesome postgame moment between Wembanyama and a young fan, turning into the coolest jersey swap.
At the time, it looked like that young fan left the arena with a lifelong memory and generational keepsake. But never underestimate an adult's desire to monetize a wholesome moment. Come Tuesday, that same jersey was being prepared for auction.
Goldin -- a collectibles marketplace -- posted that it had received the jersey to be put on auction on Jan. 22. Now, this isn't the kid's fault, obviously. A young child isn't capable of listing a jersey for auction -- an adult had to take that step.
But still, Wembanyama was shocked to see the jersey listing on Wednesday.

Hopefully that doesn't stop Wembanyama from giving jerseys to young fans after games. But man, that really did ruin such a cool moment.
