The agent of Serie A and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he will not accept a move to Saudi Arabia and that he isn’t a ‘package’ who can be sent far away from Italy.

The Partenopei, it was reported yesterday, would be open to selling Osimhen to Al Ahli and the Saudi club would be open to meeting their demands for the Nigerian as well.

While Osimhen is still not keen on the move to Saudi, his agent Roberto Calenda has made it quite clear that they would not accept the move and wants to stay in Europe.

“Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed to our mutual satisfaction. He made history in blue and when there were important offers (this year too) we always accepted the club’s decisions.

“As I have already said, he is not a package to be sent far away to make room for new prophets. Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth in the Ballon d’Or, he still has a lot to say in Europe. Respect and balance are needed.”

The money Napoli receive from Osimhen’s sale could be used in other deals and he has been keen on a move to England, where Chelsea and Arsenal were interested but they never came forward for him.  Paris Saint-Germain have never met Napoli’s asking price either, having made lower offers so far.

Because of that, he stays at Napoli.
