Victor Hedman gifts 300 tickets to kids, coaches from hometown
Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman is a giver both on and off the ice.
Opponents are far too familiar with the devastating body checks the two-way blueliner dishes out, which certainly do not feel good to receive.

Off the ice, though, Hedman was delivering more of a feel-good gift, as the world-class defender provided 300 kids and coaches involved with his hometown team ÖSK and Hedman’s own hockey school with a postcard containing tickets to Sweden–USA in the U18 World Championships this spring.
Very nice touch from Victor Hedman.

An extremely generous act by the 28-year old, and something that surely made a lot of people’s holidays.
It’s always nice to see athletes giving back and remembering where they came from.
