A Very WHL Christmas: Western Conference

With Saint Nicholas set to appear on the eve of Wednesday, we at THN look at ten WHL clubs and what they may have wished for under their tree this Christmas. Next up: the Western Conference Conference.

Tri-City Americans: More Spots On The CHL Top 10 List

Despite a strong start, the Tri-City Americans are not getting the respect they deserve. They are third in the WHL with 41 points in 30 games, yet they are often excluded from the CHL's Top 10 list. A heavy-hitting team that has only lost twice in regulation during their 15 home games, the Americans are a force and could go on a long playoff run this year.

Seattle Thunderbirds: A Healthy Blue Line

Injuries have really cost the Seattle Thunderbirds this season. Vancouver Canucks prospect Sawyer Mynio has missed 15 games this season, while Hyde Davidson, who last played in mid-Novemeber, has missed 11. Once the Thunderbirds' blue line gets healthy, they have the potential to make a run late in the season.

Everett Silvertips: To Set A New Franchise Wins Record

The Everett Silvertips are off to a blazing start, with 25 wins through their first 33 games. On pace to hit the 50-win mark, Everett has a chance to set a new franchise record for wins, which currently sits at 54. While it will take a strong second half, it is not out of the realm of possibility, especially based on the way the Silvertips have been playing this year.

Kelowna Rockets: For Andrew Cristall To Set The Franchise Point Record

The Kelowna Rockets should have a new franchise points record holder by the end of the season. With 335 points so far in his Rockets' career, Washington Capitals prospect Andrew Cristall is just 41 away from breaking Brett McLean's record of 375. Based on the way Cristall has been playing, he should have the record and might even become the first player in franchise history to 400 career points.

Victoria Royals: To Win The B.C. Division For The Second Time

One of the stories of the season has been the Victoria Royals. After finishing the 2023-24 season with 67 points, the Royals are already at 39 in 32 games and sit just two points behind the Prince George Cougars for first in the B.C. Division. With a solid second half, Victoria could find themselves at the top of the division for the first time since 2015-16.
