Tuomas Uronen, a forward for the Kingston Frontenacs, was selected 192nd overall in the sixth round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights. He earned recognition for his impressive performance over the weekend, contributing six points in two games and helping his team secure a couple of victories.
The Finnish winger won a silver medal at the 2025 World Junior Championship representing his home nation. Since his return, he's scored a goal in six consecutive games and recorded 12 points.
Dating back to Dec. 14, Uronen is on an eight-game point streak, racking up 14 points within that stretch.

Uronen is also on a four-game multi-point stretch, as he has started to heat up in the last two weeks.
The Frontenacs hosted the Erie Otters for a Sunday afternoon game. Uronen pounced on a loose puck in front of the crease and scored a powerplay marker for his 22nd of the season in the last minute of the first period to give his team the lead.

After Erie tied the game up, Kingston rattled off four unanswered goals to win 6-2. Tuomas assisted on three of those four tallies, as he recorded four points in a game for the second time this season — previously did so against North Bay on Oct. 27.
The Golden Knights prospect is having a breakout season in the OHL. He suffered a lower-body injury last season that ended his year in late October while playing for the Ottawa 67's.
The Frontenacs acquired the import forward from Ottawa in the summer in exchange for a couple of draft picks.

Fellow OHL site editor Rowan McCarthy wrote a piece talking about the trade where he said:
"The trade represents a calculated gamble on the part of Cooper. If they have acquired Uronen at his floor, he will come in as a middle-six forward capable of being a solid contributor.
Alternatively, Kingston may have bought low on Uronen and acquired a player who can contribute at the top of their lineup. If that is the case, then Cooper will have made a great move to improve his team."
The latter was right and Uronen has become a top-of-the-lineup contributor for Kingston. He sits third on the team in goals (22), assists (29), and points (51). He narrowly edges past Cedrick Guindon in points-per-game with a 1.42.
Uronen's talent has truly shone this season, and he is set to be a key player in Kingston's thrilling pursuit of OHL glory.
