Vancouver Selected To Host PWHL Neutral-Site Game In 2025

For the first time, fans in Vancouver will get to watch a PWHL game live at Rogers Arena. The neutral-site game on January 8 will feature the Montréal Victoire and Toronto Sceptres and will be part of the PWHL's "Takeover Tour." The PWHL will be playing nine games in nine cities as part of the North American tour, with games also being played in Seattle and Denver.

The PWHL currently has six teams: the Boston Fleet, the Minnesota Frost, the New York Sirens, the Ottawa Charge, the Montréal Victoire, and the Toronto Sceptres. Last season, Minnesota was crowned champions, defeating Boston 3-2 in a five-game series. Liz Schepers scored the game-winning goal in the Final, while Nicole Hensley made 17 saves in a shutout Game 5 win.

Some of the stars who will be in Vancouver this January include Marie-Philip Poulin, Erin Ambrose, Sarah Nurse, and Blayre Turnbull. The intensity should be high as this game will take place in the middle of the season. The 2024-25 PWHL season kicks off on November 30, with the playoffs scheduled to begin on May 3, 2025.
