Vancouver Canucks Recall Linus Karlsson And Phil Di Giuseppe, Send Mark Friedman And Arturs Silovs To Abbotsford
The Vancouver Canucks announced they have recalled forwards Linus Karlsson and Phil Di Giuseppe and sent goaltender Arturs Silovs and defenseman Mark Friedman to their AHL affiliate Abbotsford Canucks.
Silovs and Friedman were recalled on Dec. 14, Friedman played and Silovs served as back-up against the Boston Bruins.
Friedman is pointless in three games with Vancouver and has four points in eight games with Abbotsford this season.
Silovs has a a 1-4-1 record with a 4.11 GAA and .847 SP in seven appearances with Vancouver and a 2-0 record with a .929 SP in two games with Abbotsford this season.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Mark Friedman and G Artūrs Šilovs have been assigned to Abbotsford (AHL). F Linus Karlsson and F Di Giuseppe have been recalled from Abbotsford.

Karlsson has yet to play in the NHL this season but has five goals and six points in seven games with Abbotsford, he missed several weeks with an undisclosed injury.
The 25-year-old went pointless in four games with Vancouver last season and had 60 points (23 goals, 37 assists) in 60 games with Abbotsford.
Di Giuseppe has appeared in just four games for Abbotsford this season and has not recorded a point after suffering an injury early in the season.
The 30-year-old recorded five goals and five assists in 51 games with Vancouver last season.
Given the strong play of Max Sasson and the return of J.T. Miller it will be interesting to see where or when Di Giuseppe or Karlsson get into the lineup.
