Vancouver Canucks Recall Jonathan Lekkerimäki From Abbotsford, Place Dakota Joshua On IR
The Vancouver Canucks announced they have recalled forward Jonathan Lekkerimäki from the Abbotsford Canucks on an emergency basis and placed Dakota Joshua on injured reserve.
Lekkerimäki has 12 goals and 17 points in 21 games with Abbotsford and one goal in five games with Vancouver, the first of his NHL career.
The 20-year-old recorded seven shots on goal while averaging 14:48 of ice time in his five NHL games this season.
Joshua joins Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson, Filip Hronek, and Thatcher Demko on a long list of key players who are injured for the Canucks.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Dakota Joshua has been placed on IR (retroactive to Jan. 3, 2025) and F Jonathan Lekkerimäki has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL) on emergency basis.

Lekkerimäki leads Abbotsford in goals and points, Vancouver will be looking for him to contribute while missing important offensive pieces.
Vancouver are on the road against the Montreal Canadiens tonight.
