Canucks prospect scores insane behind-the-net lacrosse goal

A goal that many players have attempted, but few actually score, became a reality for Vancouver Canucks prospect Nils Hoglander in the Swedish Hockey League on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old forward for Rögle BK dropped jaws across the hockey world with this beauty.

In a game against Djurgården, the prospect was able to drag the defender behind the net and completely evade any attempt to strip the puck off his stick.

The agile skating, the pass to himself off the back of the net, the lacrosse move, the goaltender having no idea where the puck is... the audacity.

Not even the outreaching Djurgården defenceman Marcus Högström was able to prevent Hoglander from getting that insane goal.

It’s hog-on-hog violence.

Even other Rögle BK players were stunned by the Canucks prospect’s goal.

“Hoglander’s goal is the sickest I have seen,” said teammate Daniel Zaar after the 5-1 victory for their team.

The Canucks’ 2019 second-round pick finished the game with the lone goal and two shots on goal. Rögle BK is second in the SHL with a 8-3-1-3 record.

Hoglander has three goals and four points through 10 games.
