Vancouver Canucks Assign Filip Hronek To Abbotsford For Conditioning Stint

The Vancouver Canucks announced they have assigned defenseman Filip Hronek to their AHL affiliate Abbotsford Canucks for a conditioning stint.

Hronek suffered an upper-body injury in a Nov. 27 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins and underwent a lower-body procedure for an unrelated injury while recovering that forced him to miss six weeks of the season.

The AHL transactions page notes this a a Conditioning Loan for Hronek which can last for a maximum 14 days. Hronek counts against the 23-man roster while on the loan.

Abbotsford play a back-to-back against the Henderson Silver Knights at home on Friday and Saturday.
