Tocchet has achieved quite a lot in his short time with Vancouver. In 118 games, he is 70-35-13 and was last year's Jack Adams Award winner. Tocchet also helped lead the Canucks to the second round for the second time since 2011, joining Travis Green as the only other coach to achieve the feat over the last 12 years.
Based on projections, Tocchet should continue to rocket up Vancouver's all-time coaching win list in 2024-25. He is 30 victories away from becoming the seventh coach to hit the 100-win mark and could pass Willie Desjardins for sixth all-time if the Canucks surpass the 40-win mark this season. Tocchet could also become the sixth coach to win double-digit playoff games and could surpass both Marc Crawford and Roger Neilson if Vancouver wins six postseason games.

As for Tocchet's all-time coaching wins, he is two away from becoming the 71st coach in league history to 250 wins. While he won't get into the top 50 this season, he will continue to climb the ranks and will most likely finish in the top 60 above Tommy Ivan, who had 288 career wins. Tocchet should also be in the top 50 all-time when it comes to fastest to 100 wins with a single franchise, most likely passing current record holder Alain Vigneault, who achieved the feat in 184 games.

Lastly, Tocchet has the opportunity to do something only Vigneault has done: be nominated for the Jack Adams Award twice. After winning the award in 2007, Vineault finished runner-up to Dan Bylsma of the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2011. If Tocchet does have his eyes on another nomination, he will need to put together a remarkable season as the last coach to win and then be nominated the following year was Lindy Ruff in 2006 and 2007.
