Despite missing significant time with injuries, Demko had a season to remember. He recorded 35 wins for the first time in his career, and his five shutouts ranked tied for fifth in the league. Now in his eighth NHL season, Demko has the opportunity to achieve some milestones few goaltenders in franchise history have.

Starting with wins, Demko should be able to hit the 150 mark for his career this year. He enters the season with 116 and is just ten away from tying Richard Brodeur, who currently sits in third. Once Demko gets to the 30-win mark, he will also tie Dan Cloutier for the second most 30-win seasons in franchise history with three.

Demko also has the chance to move into second place all-time in shootout wins. He currently has ten, which is one behind his former goaltending partner Jacob Markström. The odds are he won't be able to catch Roberto Luongo's 29 next season, but that could be a record that falls in the next few years.

Lastly, Demko is on pace to become the fourth goaltender in franchise history to play in 250 games. He currently ranks fifth with 219 and should hit the milestone before the midway point of the season. Once he hits 250, he will join the likes of Kirk McLean, Luongo, and Brodeur, who are the only goaltenders who have achieved this feat in franchise history.

If Demko can replicate his success last season while staying healthy, he will once again be in the conversation for the Vezina Trophy. He should be near the top of the wins list again in 2024-25 and could come close to the 40-win mark next year. An All-Star calibre player, Demko is on pace to finish his career as the greatest goaltender in franchise history.
