Utah's Dylan Guenther Out Against The San Jose Sharks

In its most recent game, a 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers, Utah's Dylan Guenther suffered a lower-body injury and will not be able to play against the San Jose Sharks.

The injury likely occurred midway through the third period after a collision with Florida forward Aleksander Barkov caused him to fall down and subsequently sub out of the game.

It's a huge loss for Utah as Guenther leads the team in goals and has the third most points on the team.

With the injury to Guenther, Utah recalled forward Josh Doan of the Tuscon Roadrunners to return to Utah's roster.

"No matter what, you can't take it for granted when you're in the NHL," said Doan. "You want to help your team win and sometimes going down and coming back up is the best thing for you and the team."

Doan and Guenther both play at the right wing position, so it was only natural for Utah to look to add depth to that position.

Guenther was on pace to match his 35 season points he had last year. He currently has 34 season points.

With Utah approaching the midway point of the season, losing this kind of production will be a major roadblock to overcome, especially because it leans on young talent like Guenther. Both Guenther and teammate Logan Cooley are top three in points despite both being under 21.

Without its leading scorer, the pressure will grow for Utah captain Clayton Keller and Cooley to carry an Utah offense thats been struggling during its losing stretch.

But with Guenther gone, someone else will need to step up for Utah if it wants to get back to winning.

Let me down below who you think will step up for Utah as Guenther deals with injury.
