Utah HC Recalls Kevin Connauton From Tucson
Utah HC have recalled defensemen Kevin Connauton from the Tucson Roadrunners, it was announced Saturday.
The move came after Robert Bortuzzo was placed in injured reserve.
Connauton, a product of Edmonton, Alta., has spent the entire season in the AHL, collecting five goals and four assists for nine points in 24 games.
Drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the 2009 NHL Draft, Connauton has appeared in 360 NHL regular season games over the course of 10 seasons with the Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers and Utah. Over that time span, Connauton has scored 28 goals and added 52 assists for 80 points.
With Connauton being recalled, he could spend the next little while with Utah. A defender who is capable of jumping into an NHL lineup when needed, Connauton will very likely get into his first NHL game since 2021-22.
