USWNT vs. Zambia: How to watch, schedule, starting lineup for Olympics opener

The U.S. women's soccer team (USWNT) is gunning for its first gold medal since 2012 starting today in southern France. FIFA ranks the USWNT No. 5 in the world and is in Group B for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with world No. 4 Germany, No. 12 Australia, and No. 64 Zambia.

The USWNT opens group play with today's match against Zambia. This is Zambia's second Olympic Games after making the Tokyo Olympics and going 0-1-2 in Group F. Zambia also qualified for its first Women's World Cup in 2023 and earned its first World Cup win with a 3-1 victory over Costa Rica.

This is the first match between the USWNT and Zambia as well as Emma Hayes' first major tournament match as head coach. They'll face off in the Stade de Nice, home to OFC Nice of France's Ligue 1.
