USMNT vs. Venezuela international friendly: Live stream and TV info, rosters for Saturday
The U.S. men's national soccer team opens its 2025 campaign with a friendly match against Venezuela on Saturday.
USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino has called in a Major League Soccer-heavy roster for Saturday's match versus Venezuela as well as Wednesday's friendly against Concacaf rival Costa Rica. All but one player — Matko Miljevic — are from MLS clubs. Miljevic's case is quite curious. Miljevic had previously played for CF Montréal, but had his contract terminated for moonlighting in a local amateur soccer league under a false name. Miljevic now plays professionally in Argentina. Miljevic is among 10 players called into Pochettino's January camp who have not yet earned their first USMNT cap.
This isn't an official FIFA international break, and the USMNT's European-based players — who are all in the midst of their club seasons — are typically not called into the national team's January camp, which has traditionally been heavily focused on MLS talent.
