🇺🇸 USMNT star delivers when asked to help PSV stay perfect
USMNT and PSV Eindhoven fans will love what was displayed against Willem II on Saturday.
One Ricardo Pepi rose to the occasion when called upon by manager Peter Bosz to play a direct role in their 2-0 win.
The 21-year-old American made his first season start and thanked his boss for the decision with two goals in 15 minutes.
2003 – Of players born in 2003 or later, only Elye Wahi (29), Xavi Simons (28), Jude Bellingham (27) and Jamal Musiala (25) have scored more goals than Ricardo Pepi (22) across the Top 10 European leagues since the start of the 2022-23 season. Express. pic.twitter.com/5z1TgaX4QV

Pepi first leapt highest as his header thumped past goalkeeper Thomas Didillon-Hödl and then registered a brace with a low drive from near the penalty spot.
He now has four goals in nine appearances across all competitions this season. His contribution helped PSV stay perfect, with seven wins from seven at the top of the Eredivisie table.
Perhaps that figure could rise if he continues to earn starting nods?
Hopefully Mauricio Pochettino is watching.
