USC's 2024 hype video had fans ready to run through a wall despite tweaking the Trojan Horse story
Nothing gets football fans fired up for game day quite like a well-done hype video, and the social team for USC accomplished that goal Sunday with the video it dropped ahead of their Week 1 game against LSU.
The video opens with the depiction of Trojan warriors on a battlefield before the camera zooms in on a giant Trojan Horse in the back to give a peek inside, where more warriors are hiding and revealed to be USC football players. When the camera zooms back out, the players are on an aircraft and one jumps out to land in the center of LA Memorial Coliseum.
cleared for takeoff and ready for battle.
it's the Arrival of the Trojan.

It's a really well done video. If that doesn't get you fired up, I don't know what will.
There is one problem with the video, though. And some fans couldn't get past it to allow themselves to indulge in the awesomeness of the edit: there were never Trojans inside the Trojan Horse.
In fact, the Trojan Horse was the downfall of Troy, according to the mythology. Greeks constructed the giant horse to gain entrance to Troy during the Trojan War. Once inside the city, Greeks inside the horse opened the gates to let in the Greek army and take the city.
USC didn't let that fact get in the way of a good hype video, though. So the reaction was mostly positive with a little confusion sprinkled in.
This is spectacular. I’ve never seen a sports hype video like this. https://t.co/dvvs0K6NYd

My mind is blown. I feel sorry for all the recruiting staffs & schools that don’t have the budget and premiere cinema school in the country attached to their brand. Good luck replicating. Well done @Radmen and team, wow… https://t.co/wn12C78sOq
