USA Announces November Rivalry Series Roster

USA Hockey today named their roster for the November stops of the 2024-2025 Rivalry Series against Canada. Their roster heavily consists of players with national team experience.

Of the players named, 16 come from the PWHL, while nine are currently in the NCAA.

The NCAA cohort includes Wisconsin's Kirsten Simms, Laila Edwards, Lacey Eden, and Caroline Harvey. Penn State's Tessa Janecke, Ohio State's Joy Dunne, Clarkson's Haley Winn, Cornell's Rory Guilday, and Minnesota's Abbey Murphy round out the NCAA group.

From the PWHL, the Minnesota Frost led the way with six players named to USA's roster. Those players include Kendall Coyne Schofield, Britta Curl, Nicole Hensley, Kelly Pannek, and Grace Zumwinkle.

The Ottawa Charge and Boston Fleet were next with four players each. From Ottawa are Hayley Scamurra, Gwyneth Philips, Gabbie Hughes, and Savannah Harmon, while Boston will see Hilary Knight, Megan Keller, Aerin Frankel, and Hannah Bilka competing.

From the Montreal Victoire, Cayla Barnes is the lone representative, while Alex Carpenter and Ally Simpson will represent the New York Sirens.

Notable omissions to the roster include Abby Roque (New York Sirens), Izzy Daniel (Toronto Sceptres), Kali Flanagan (Toronto Sceptres), Maureen Murphy (Montreal Victoire), Casey O'Brien (Wisconsin), and Emma Peschel (Ohio State).

The November Rivalry Series gets underway on November 6 at Tech CU Arena in San Jose, California, followed by a November 8 game at the Maverik Center in West Valley, Utah, and November 10 at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho.

PWHL training camps open two days later on November 12.
