Celebrating Women’s Football
The new third kit stands out with its distinctive vertical double Swoosh, a design element that runs across the jersey, shorts, and socks. This feature, present in all of Nike’s third kits for the season, symbolises the wing of the Greek goddess Nike, representing speed, movement, power, and motivation. This detail is a nod to the growth and significance of women’s football, a theme that resonates throughout the design of the kit.
Liverpool’s third kit is described as “rebellious by design,” drawing inspiration from the fearless female punk artists who pioneered a new sound in the city. The white kit features a bold mixed pattern that pays homage to these artists, incorporating elements like the Liver bird feathers. The shirt is finished with platinum details, complemented by flashes of the club’s iconic red and chrome yellow. The ensemble is completed with black shorts and white socks, creating a striking visual identity for the upcoming season.
Honouring the Club’s Legacy
A key feature of the new kit is the 97 emblem, encased by eternal flames, proudly positioned at the nape of the neck. This serves as a solemn reminder of the 97 children, women, and men who tragically lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster. This emblem is a poignant tribute, ensuring that the memory of those who perished remains at the heart of the club’s identity.
The third kit is crafted using Nike’s advanced Dri-Fit ADV technology, which utilises cutting-edge body mapping, 4D data, and digital design tools. This technology ensures that the kit provides optimal reinforcement, mobility, breathability, and ventilation exactly where needed, helping athletes stay cool, dry, and focused during their performances.

Availability and Special Features
Fans can pre-order the kit through Liverpool’s official online store, in LFC stores both in the UK and internationally, and via the LFC Store app. The kit, along with its accompanying warm-up top and platinum anthem jacket, will be available for general sale from September 3rd. Additionally, an alternative goalkeeper kit featuring a green spark, pine green, and white colour scheme will also be released, maintaining the distinct vertical double Swoosh design.
The campaign video and creative imagery for the kit’s launch highlight “generations of power,” featuring both current and former Liverpool players from the men’s and women’s teams. This includes stars like Andy Robertson, Mohamed Salah, Alisson Becker, and Taylor Hinds, as well as grassroots footballers, underlining the theme of continuity and growth in the women’s game.
LFC Women’s player Taylor Hinds expressed her excitement about the new kit, saying, “I love the kit; I think it’s different, especially with the Swoosh and what it represents. It’s also still got the Liverpool red in it, and I can’t wait to wear it.” Her sentiments were echoed by Andy Robertson, who added, “I really like it; I like the colour and the detail on the shirt, especially with the Swoosh going up, which is a bit different. It’s signifying the rise of the women’s game and we’re a big part of it to try to help that.”
Supporting the Community
In European competitions, when worn by the men’s team, the kit will also feature the LFC Foundation patch on the reverse. The LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity, plays a crucial role in providing life-changing opportunities for young people and families both at home and abroad. Fans can purchase the LFC Foundation patch for £5, with proceeds supporting the Foundation’s international programmes.
Liverpool continues to offer a 10% discount on the third kit for all LFC Official Members and season ticket holders, including LFC Women season ticket holders, UK key workers, and students via Blue Light Network and Student Beans. More details on eligibility and how to redeem the discount can be found on the club’s official website.
Our View – Anfield Index
Releasing a new kit always carries a sense of excitement, but this year’s third kit feels particularly significant. The focus on celebrating the women’s game and its growing influence aligns perfectly with Liverpool’s values of inclusivity and community. The distinctive design elements, such as the vertical double Swoosh and the homage to the city’s punk heritage, make this kit stand out as more than just another piece of merchandise—it’s a statement.
There’s also a deep sense of pride in seeing the 97 emblem on the back of the jersey. It serves as a constant reminder of the importance of remembering those we lost and the responsibility we carry as a club and as supporters.
While opinions on kit designs will always vary, there’s no denying that this particular release is about more than just aesthetics. It’s a celebration of Liverpool’s identity, past, present, and future. Whether worn on the pitch or by fans around the world, this kit embodies what it means to be part of the Liverpool family.
