Untimely Turnovers Doom The Columbus Blue Jackets In LaLa Land On Saturday Night

Dmitri Voronkov and Ivan Provorov scored their first goals of the season and Elvis Merzļikins made 18 saves in a 5-2 loss to the LA Kings on Saturday night.

Goalie David Rittich stopped 24 CBJ shots and made some very good saves for the Kings.

But the story of this game was turnovers. Three of the four goals scored by the Kings were caused directly by turnovers. The Kings did a good job of capitalizing on the mistakes made by Columbus to put the Jackets away.

It was not a good game for Columbus, but then again, they never play well in Los Angeles, so this was to be expected. The CBJ fall to 10-22-1-2 on the road in LA.

On to Anaheim.
