It’s Spain who have opened the scoring at these Olympic Games in Paris.

Despite the opening ceremony not taking place until Friday, we have a whole round of matches in the men’s competition taking place on Wednesday.

And after 30 minutes in their opening Group C clash against Uzbekistan, La Roja have found the back of the net.

Almería defender Marc Pubill was the unlikely history-maker, as he ghosted in at the far post to tap in.

It was his first ever goal in any age group for Spain and only the fourth goal in his entire career to date.
