UFC Abu Dhabi Roster Revealed with Several New Bouts Filling Up 10-Bout Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship on Tuesday revealed several new bouts, filling up the fight card for its April 11 return to Abu Dhabi.

The UFC Fight Night event was already slated to feature a five-round main event between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Roy Nelson, as well as bouts that include Clay Guida vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri and Ranhi Yahya vs. Johnny Bedford.

UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Nelson marks the promotion’s return to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. It takes place at du Arena on April 11.

Other bouts revealed on Tuesday include Polish heavyweight Daniel Omielanczuk (16-3-1, 1NC) vs. Jared Rosholt (9-1), with both men coming off big wins in their UFC debuts and looking to make it two in a row.

Andrew Craig (9-2) faces Chris Camozzi (19-7) in a middleweight bout, while Turkey’s Alptekin Ozkilic (9-2) goes head-to-head with American Dustin Ortiz (12-3) in a flyweight battle.

The Ultimate Fighter Season 13 runner-up Ramsey Nijem (9-4) will face the undefeated Beneil Dariush (7-0) in a clash of rising lightweights.

Ryan LaFlare (10-0) puts his undefeated record on the line when he faces John Howard (22-8) in a welterweight bout. Jim Alers (12-1) will face Iraqi fighter Alan Omer (18-3) in a featherweight bout with both men making their UFC debuts.

The final fight on the card will see accomplished wrestler Trevor Smith (11-4) against former title challenger Thales Leites (22-4) in a battle of gritty middleweights both coming off wins and trying to continue to build momentum.
