UFC 311 post-event facts: Champs Islam Makhachev, Merab Dvalishvili break longstanding records

The first numbered UFC event of 2025 proved to be a memorable one with UFC 311 on Saturday at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif., delivering the goods.

Despite a slow set of prelims, the main card delivered in all ways, and ended with both champions successfully defending their titles. In the headliner, Islam Makhachev (27-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) submitted Renato Moicano (20-6-1 MMA, 12-6 UFC) in the first round to retain lightweight gold, while the co-main event saw bantamweight champ Merab Dvalishvili (19-4 MMA, 12-2 UFC) hand Umar Nurmagomedov (18-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) his first career loss in a unanimous decision.

Serghei Spivac (17-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) has suffered all four of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Reinier de Ridder (19-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has earned 17 of his 19 career victories by stoppage.

Kevin Holland (26-13 MMA, 13-10 UFC) fell to 1-2 since he returned to the UFC middleweight division in June 2024. He's 9-6 when fighting in the weight class.

Holland has suffered four of his six career stoppage losses by submission.
