UFC 283 full results: Jamahal Hill decisions Glover Teixeira; Brandon Moreno TKOs Deiveson Figueiredo

Glover Teixeira couldn't stop Jamahal Hill's onslaught during their fight for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title Saturday in the main event of UFC 283 at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Hill poured it on over five rounds and nearly had Teixeira out several times.

Hill ended up winning by unanimous decision and won every round, according to all three judges.

In the co-main event, Brandon Moreno put one of the great rivalries in UFC history in the rear-view mirror when he dominated Deiveson Figueiredo for the better part of three full rounds and stopped him when the ringside physician ruled that Figueiredo couldn’t see out of his right eye.

Moreno regained the undisputed flyweight championship and he won the personal four-fight series with Figueiredo, 2-1-1. Moreno stopped Figueiredo in both of the fights he won.

Gilbert Burns made it look easy with a first-round submission win over Neil Magny. Burns (21-5) is 2-2 in his last four and after his win Saturday called for a fight against former title challenger Colby Covington.

Jessica Andrade tied Amanda Nunes’ record for most UFC wins by a female fighter at 15 with a dominant performance against former flyweight title challenger Lauren Murphy. Andrade, whose fight with Murphy was at 125, asked for a rematch versus current strawweight champion Zhang Weili.

In the main card opener, Johnny Walker thrilled the fans at Jeunesse Arena with a first-round KO of Paul Craig.
