UFC 174 Fighter Bonuses: Tae Hyun Bang is a Knockout in Vancouver, Scores $100,000

UFC 174: Johnson vs. Bagautinov marked the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s first Vancouver event in three years. Following the event, UFC officials handed out its traditional post-fight awards. Although with only four finishes, the honors weren’t too difficult to dole out.

Tae Hyun Bang rebounded strong after losing his UFC debut in January. He not only knocked out Canadian Kajan Johnson on his home turf, in doing so, he scored both a Performance of the Night award and his share of the Fight of the Night.

With each award worth a $50,000 bonus, Bang pocketed an additional $100,000 in bonus money.

Johnson was surely happy to take home an added $50,000, but was obviously disappointed with the loss.

The other Performance of the Night award went to Kiichi Kunimoto, who headlined the UFC 174 Prelims on FX.

It took Kunimoto just two minutes and 52 seconds to secure the fight-ending rear naked choke, which puts him on a six-fight winning streak.
