Tyson Jugnauth Commits To Michigan State

Portland Winterhawks defenseman Tyson Jugnauth has committed to Michigan State, it was announced last week.

Jugnauth, a product of Toronto, Ont. and a 2022 fourth round pick of the Seattle Kraken, joined the Winterhawks last season after spending parts of two seasons playing at Wisconsin. During his time with the Badgers, he put up five goals and 17 points in 45 games.

Through 36 regular season games in 2024-25, Jugnauth has collected eight goals and 42 assists for 50 points. Across his WHL career, he has compiled 15 goals and 76 assists for 91 points in 77 games.

Prior to making the jump to the NCAA for the first time, Jugnauth played in the BCHL for the West Kelowna Warriors.

With Juignauth having already found success at the NCAA level as well as being a difference maker in the WHL, he will be a great addition to the Spartans when he joins them next season.
