Tyreek Hill mocked getting detained pregame by pretending to get handcuffed as a TD celebration
The first NFL Sunday of the 2024 season couldn't have been more unusual for Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill.
Just hours before the scheduled kickoff against the Jaguars, fans outside Hard Rock Stadium captured video of police officers detaining Hill in handcuffs. It was initially unclear if Hill was being placed under arrest, but he was cited for reckless driving and released in time for the game.
Still, the drama was enough to inspire Hill's touchdown celebration. After Hill broke free for an 80-yard touchdown reception in the second half, the speedy receiver put his hands behind his back to pretend to be handcuffed.
They're baaaack: Tyreek Hill just caught an 80-yard TD from Tua Tagovailoa.
