Evans, the 22-year-old defenseman will be going back to his familiar 41 after giving it to veteran Pierre-Edouard Bellemare last year. Evans has worn 41 throughout his career in the WHL and the AHL with the Coachella Valley Firebirds.
While wearing number 39 last season, Evans scored one goal and nine points. Wearing 41 with the Firebirds saw Evans score two goals and 15 points in 25 games. He was also stellar in the playoffs notching four goals and 10 points in 18 games.
Evans is expected to become a full-time NHL player this season and will be doing so with his trusted number 41.

This upcoming season, Kartye will look to take another step in his development. That step will be to provide more offence on a consistent level. He'll likely start the season on the fourth line alongside Brandon Tanev and Yanni Gourde but his play will determine if he moves up onto a line with any of Matty Beniers, Shane Wright or Chandler Stephenson.
