Two former Chelsea managers being considered for role in footsteps of Jose Mourinho
Two former Chelsea managers are now being considered for a new role that would see one of them follow in the same footsteps as Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho was a Stamford Bridge favourite during his two managerial spells at the club, and he has now since gone down as a Chelsea legend.
EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea pick main candidate for new full back transfer pursuit!
He’s been about though and has managed other clubs such as Manchester United, Roma, and now Fenerbahce in Turkey.
You feel that one day he will be back in the Premier League, but his career so far has been decorative and mostly successful.
Two former Chelsea managers, Graham Potter or Frank Lampard, might now have a chance to continue their managerial career by stepping into a role at one of Mourinho’s former clubs, according to reports.
Potter and Lampard being considered at Roma
According to The Daily Mirror, another Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is being considered for Roma manager should they decide to sack under pressure Ivan Juric, who has only actually been in the role since September.
They also say that another former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, who has been speaking about Moises Caicedo this week, is also under consideration for the role should Roma pull the plug.
Lampard hasn’t had the best time as a head coach yet and has been out of work now for a long time. You wonder whether he would be best suited for another role in football rather than a coach – I could see him as a good director of football in the future. But you get the feeling he still wants to coach.
Potter will soon be looking to take another job going forward after being out of work since being sacked by Chelsea. I could actually see him at Roma and that might be a good move for the former Brighton man.
