Twenty teams, 55 games and plenty of action. A look at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup

The ICC Men's T20 World Cup kicked off Saturday and runs through June 29. A look at the 55-match tournament:

FIELD: Expanded to 20 teams from 16.

HOSTS: The U.S. and West Indies are co-hosting.

DEFENDING CHAMPION: England.

DEBUTANTS: Canada, the U.S. and Uganda.

FORMAT: T20 cricket is the shortest and most action-packed form of the game with teams batting for just 20 overs, as opposed to 50 in one-day internationals. Test cricket, which lasts five days with each team batting for two innings, is restricted to the International Cricket Council's 12 full members, with Canada and the U.S. among the ICC's 96 associate members.
