Tuttosport: Belahyane now, Ricci in June – Milan’s plan to complete the midfield
There is still more than a month to go until the transfer window reopens, but it seems the AC Milan management are planning their moves in advance.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports that moves are being plotted to bolster the midfield given how much Youssouf Fofana has had to work overtime. Ismael Bennacer could be a deputy of sorts, but his long-term injury means he cannot offer the necessary guarantees.
The Milan directors are evaluating various profiles. In recent weeks names like Morten Frendrup from Genoa and Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis have been linked, but the main option at the moment is Reda Belahyane.
The Verona talent is attracting interest from other clubs such as Inter, Lazio, Manchester City and Marseille. Milan are pushing and know they cannot waste time because Verona are not against selling for the right price.

The Moroccan has been compared to the early version of Jorginho for the way that he plays the position, and he falls in line with Milan’s usual modus operandi of signing young players early and developing them.
Belahyane is the option for January, then in the summer they will go for Samuele Ricci to complete the department. Geoffrey Moncada and co. are already working to beat the competition, while in the winter they could allow Luka Jovic to join Torino as a ‘down payment’ for the Italian talent.
