Tuttosport: An Azzurri Milan – Torino and Udinese stars targeted for the summer
In recent years, the Italian National Team has lacked an AC Milan presence regularly, but that could be about to change, with the Rossoneri having Azzurri targets.
Before Matteo Gabbia’s call-up to the senior side in 2024, many reports and fans questioned the lack of an Italian presence in the Milan squad. After all, the two have often been heavily interlinked with many of the nation’s greats also representing the Diavolo.
Nevertheless, the look has always been to the future. Among the Futuro ranks are several starlets that could ply their trade for the Azzurri one day: Francesco Camarda, Mattia Liberali and Kevin Zeroli, just to name a few.
The future also represents a willingness to invest in Italian talent, and according to Tuttosport, two of the club’s big targets are already representatives of the National Team.
This morning, as Milan News relays, the paper has stated that a ‘blue turn’ is going to occur in the mercato, with the club looking to launch attempts for Samuele Ricci and Lorenzo Lucca.
Ricci has long been a name hoped for in midfield, and despite suggestions that an attempt may be made in the January mercato, a summer move once again looks like the route that will be taken. A similar idea was had for Lucca, however, the summer window again looks more favourable, considering Tammy Abraham’s loan would have concluded.
